So, I do a few of my sites in the LiveEdit CMS.\u00a0 It’s a really user friendly CMS with a support team and call center behind it, so it works well for clients that like to be able to pick up a phone when they have a question about updating their site.<\/p>\n

Of course, this service comes at a cost and sites hosted with their CMS and support department cost more than a standard wordpress site.<\/p>\n

The Kuhn Law Firm, a minnesota business lawyer<\/a>, is a good example of how the CMS can be used to build a nice clean website that follows all the developer rules.\u00a0 They tend to come to me with updates, but since it’s build in LiveEdit, I can have anyone who can run a text editor make most of the updates for me.<\/p>\n

Producers Financial Group, a firm that supports financial agents<\/a> is also built in LiveEdit, but due to their higher level requirements, it required a lot of programming that I couldn’t do since the CMS is proprietary, so that’s one thing to consider when deciding if a LiveEdit site is right for a client.\u00a0 The PFG site runs great, and didn’t require a ton of programming, but it is something that I can’t update for my clients, so I’m held to the availability of some other programmer, which I’m not sure how I feel about.<\/p>\n

Either way, LiveEdit has it’s place within my tools for clients, but it’s not for everybody.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
