So, I turned the switch on for http:\/\/www.scandinavianaccents.com\/<\/a> today.\u00a0 It’s a clean design e-commerce site selling Scandinavian Jewelery<\/a> as well as high quality tea cups<\/a>.<\/p>\n

I built it on the Network Solutions E-commerce system.\u00a0 It’s a decent turn-key system that I recommend for most start ups.\u00a0 The monthly cost is high, but the development cost is low.\u00a0 Of course, there are down sides as well, but I’ll cover those later.<\/p>\n

For this site, I started with an html design and needed to make it fit into a system.\u00a0 Due to the fact that it’s a proprietary system, I was somewhat limited in how I had to work with it, but that didn’t limit me much.\u00a0 The big difference was how I had to go about updates.\u00a0 There was a huge saving in development time for this too, letting the client get an initial site up for a very small investment.\u00a0 When their business takes off, I hope to be able to redo their site in a full e-commerce system that they can own, probably Magento, but for a start up, they are up and running for a low cost.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
